2026 Meetings

Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held at St. Andrews Church, 110 Mill St., Stirling



7:00pm January 19 - Guest Speaker: CARSON ARTHUR

In lieu of a speaker fee, members are asked to bring a donation to the food bank.

Mini-Show:

  1. “Teacup Greens” – a design in a teacup using leaves, stems etc. from your houseplants
  2. “Bottle/Jar Garden” – a variety of plants artistically arranged in the bottle/jar
  3. Plant grown for its interesting foliage / form – named.
  4. Horticultural Show Off




7:00pm February 9 - Guest Speaker:

Mini-Show:

  1. “Feeding the Birds” – a design in a bird feeder. Your choice of materials
  2. “Red’s My Vibe” – Celebrate Valentine’s Day. Your choice. Anything goes.
  3. Flowering Houseplant - named
  4. Horticultural Show Off.




7:00pm March 16 - Guest Speaker:

Mini-Show:

  1. “Japanese Style Design” – your choice- (low dish, one flower, definite line, plus greenery)
  2. “Pussy Willows Galore” – in a vase
  3. Vase of three evergreen (conifers) stems found in my garden – name the trees/shrubs
  4. Horticultural Show Off

7:00pm April 20 - Guest Speaker:

Mini-Show:

  1. “April Showers” – a water viewing design of your choice (design in a shallow container with ½ of the container showing water)
  2. Vase of early spring flowers – named (same or different)
  3. A container of homegrown seedlings - named
  4. Horticultural Show Off.




7:00pm May 11 - Guest Speaker:

Mini-Show:

  1. “Fairy Garden” – your choice. Must conform to elements of design
  2. “Tubular Design” – A floral design featuring cylindrical (or tubular) components throughout. Tube(s) may be fresh or dried round stems, plant-based or man-made materials.
  3. Vase of spring flowers – same variety- your choice
  4. Horticultural Show Off.


6:00pm June 15: POT LUCK DINNER


7:00pm September 21 - Guest Speaker:

Mini-Show:

  1. “Herb Design” – your choice – name herbs used in the design
  2. Display of your homegrown vegetables/fruits arranged in an artistic way. Name each entry.
  3. “Something New in 2026” – a new/different/unusual flower I have grown this year. Named.
  4. Horticultural Show Off.

7:00pm October 19 - Guest Speaker:

Mini-Show:

  1. “Apple of My Eye” – a design incorporating apples.
  2. A late maturing vegetable. Named. (one or more specimens)
  3. Collection of bulbs, tubers and or corms prepared for winter. Named.
  4. Horticultural Show Off

6:00pm November 16: AGM and Dinner



December – No meeting
